As project lead, I helped to position Primacy executives as thought leaders in the corporate relocation and expatriate placement industries. We produced a series of national ranking-surveys on U.S. cities’ viability and ease for relocating families and singles.  Site overhaul: Baptist Memorial Health Care

Archer Malmo was selected to completely rebuild Baptist’s enterprise website, I was the principal writer assigned to the project.

My assignment: Cut the old site’s page-count by two-thirds “without leaving out anything important.” There were several hundred pages of content to rewrite. Also: Shape the online brand voice and document it for Baptist communications staff to use in site revisions.

My first step for editing each page’s content was to move the most useful piece of information to the first sentence or headline.

As a freelance  writer, I researched and wrote patient-facing medical education content for niche publisher The company produced booklets and web content about various medical subjects and custom branded them for individual clinics to distribute to their patients. My delivered manuscripts covered the following cardiology topics:

  • Congestive heart failure
  • Coronary artery disease
  • Myocardial infarction
  • Women and heart disease​
  • Atherosclerosis
  • Bypass surgery
  • Valvular disease
  • Valve replacement/repair surgery


Co-authoring the travel guide Lonely Planet: Louisiana & the Deep South

While I was in the Publications department at Ole Miss, I was recommended by John T. Edge to join the Lonely Planet author team that was updating its Deep South travel guide.

I was the only Southern writer on the project; the rest were from the West Coast or Australia. This project became the “origin story” of Bridgman Content.
